FBP Supports Pike County Fair 4-H Participants

August 9, 2022 -- Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth (FBP) is proud to support the hard work of Pike County Fair 4-H participants who spend their summer preparing their market projects.

Caydince Pekkala placed 1st in class for her market rabbit at the 2022 Pike County Fair.

This summer, FBP is expected to provide more than $17,000 in support of the local 4-H programs in Pike, Ross, Jackson and Scioto counties.

“These kids work hard all summer to prepare their animals and projects for their respective county fair,” said FBP Human Resources Manager, Todd Cron. “We have a commitment to support our community and this is just one of the many ways we do this.”

Pike County had the largest amount of FBP 4-H kids with 57 exhibitors receiving a total of $8,800 at auction.

“Congratulations to everyone at Pike County and good luck to those who are exhibiting in Ross and Scioto counties this week,” Cron said.
