February 14, 2023 -- This week students were trading Valentine’s Day cards with their friends, but Fluor-BWXT wanted to show some love to local schools with a special Valentine’s Day delivery of school supplies. While back to school drives in the fall are very important, FBP employees wanted to help replace the broken crayons, lost markers, and other items that tend to be a significant need mid-year.
Waverly Primary Principal Sara Turner and a group of pre-school students accept the school supply delivery from FBP’s Cindi Remy.
“FBP enjoys our relationship with the local schools, and our employees are always finding ways to make a difference for the students,” said FBP President and CEO Greg Wilkett. “The mid-year school drive is a new event for us and it’s just another great way for us to be a partner with our schools to help all students succeed.”
FBP employees surprised students and teachers at Waverly Primary and Jasper Elementary schools last week with their deliveries. They will be making deliveries to Scioto, Ross, and Jackson county schools this week.
