Open Houses – April 2018

During the month of April, 2018, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) officials and PORTS site contractors, in conjunction with the Southern Ohio Diversification Initiative, Ohio University and the Site Specific Advisory Board hosted a series of community open houses in each of the four counties that surround the site. Visitors were able to view informational kiosks and speak with subject matter experts about topics such as site reuse; process building deactivation; the plan for the waste generated during demolition; and, the site contractors and workers involved in the project.
