Melissa Green is a Technical Writer with FBP. She has worked in Performance Documents for the past two and a half years.

When Melissa isn’t at work there’s a good chance you will find the Akron native in orange and black cheering on the Waverly Tigers. Her son Zak plays football, her daughter Abby plays soccer and wrestling is a family affair. Her husband Scott is the high school wrestling coach and both Zak and Abby wrestle. In her spare time, Melissa volunteers with Pike Pet Pals at the Pike County Dog pound. She writes the organization’s newsletter, grant submissions, and news release. She really enjoys going to the pound to help vet dogs when they arrive.

“It is amazing to see the change that happens to dogs who have been in bad situations from the time they arrive and realize they will be safe and fed, until they find a new home or go to a rescue. I always love pictures that come in of the dogs in their new homes.”

What does she enjoy most about her job at PORTS?

“I enjoy interacting with many different people across plant site,” said Melissa. “I have been able to write procedures with many different groups and I enjoy helping them through the procedure process. I also enjoy Science Alliance and look forward to volunteering for the event every year.”
