Marc Hill is the Environmental Scientist Manager with Environmental Remediation at Fluor-BWXT. This is his 25th year at the PORTS Site.
Since graduating from Capital University, Marc has 34 years of experience in regulatory compliance, environmental remediation and restoration, and radioactive and hazardous waste management from his work with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), private sector, and various Department of Energy projects across the country.
Because of his other job on site as the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) Site Lead, Marc has also become well-known among local educators and high school students as a presenter at the Department of Energy’s Science Alliance each year. His energetic and informative presentations about the history of the PORTS Site often draw attention not only at the event itself, but also during opportunities afterwards when he is requested to speak to schools and community organizations.
The Middletown, Ohio native now calls Frankfort home with his wife Yaumi and two daughters, Morgan and Jayda.
“Before COVID, my family and I really enjoyed going to local festivals like the Feast of the Flowering Moon, Sunflower Festival, the Halloween parade and more,” Marc said. “My wife and I also enjoy going out to local restaurants together.”
Marc, who is a Mason and a Shriner, also enjoys family gatherings and church events with family, as well as bowling and participating in the weekly Lousy Bowlers League.
“I enjoy the ER (Environmental Remediation) managers and ER team I work with, and the progress we have made in regards to our current projects,” he says. “I also enjoy performing the NHPA presentations at the local schools, historical societies and, of course, Science Alliance.”

Fluor-BWXT was formed to specifically address the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Gaseous Diffusion Plant (GDP) Decontamination and Decommissioning (D&D) Project.
The team brings strong Ohio roots through 70 years of combined project management experience, and 125 years of manufacturing operations both in and outside of the nuclear field.
Combined, our companies have employed thousands of Ohioans across the state and have generated millions of dollars in revenues for Ohio companies and small businesses.
