About

Jean Paul White interned for Fluor-BWXT (FBP) in the summer of 2016 and 2017. He has been a full-time employee at the PORTS site for two years since 2017. He is a Project Support Associate in FBP Payroll. Jean Paul was born in Haiti but resides in Waverly, Ohio with his wife and 13-month-old son. He spent the first 11 years of his life in Haiti and has been in America since March 2005. He is tri-lingual in English, French and Creole and is also a member of the Diversity Council at PORTS.

Jean Paul is a licensed real estate agent in Ohio. He loves interacting with people and attends New Covenant Church in Waverly. He is also a certified personal trainer.

“As you can see everything I am involved in tends to produce opportunities to connect with people. We all have a story and how you make people feel is what they’ll remember when you are no longer around. I enjoy spending time on my spiritual/physical health. My biggest priority is being there for my 13-month-old son and my wife! We are ecstatic to have the opportunity to raise a child to be a force for good in the world and to be the hands and feet of Jesus,” said Jean Paul.

What does he enjoy most about his job at PORTS?

“I am pleased to see the strides PORTS has made through the Diversity Council; we doubled the tuition reimbursement, we have broadened our recruiting efforts, and we have enhanced our application selection process for posted positions, just to name a few. We have so many talented people here at PORTS and I enjoy learning from them and picking their brain on their many years of experience. My favorite part about my current role is the opportunity it offers to enhance my understanding of accounting principles and how to utilize those principles to make management decisions. Furthermore, I enjoy the history of this site and how vital it has been for our local community,” Jean Paul said.
