Heather Jones is a Construction Supervisor in Fleet Management at the On Site Waste Disposal Facility and has been on site for eight years.
The West Portsmouth native now calls Beaver home with her husband and two daughters. From business opportunity to volunteering, you will find the Jones family keeping busy.
“My husband Dave and I are entrepreneurs outside of the plant and have almost 16 years in various business ventures and for fun we also cater events and run our concession business with our daughters Kaylee and Reese.”
In addition to working together as a family, Heather also finds time to give back to her community by volunteering in a wide range of organizations from 4-H to Eastern schools, mentoring, and Beaver Oktoberfest.
“I really enjoy spending my time watching my daughters in all of their activities, from beauty pageants to 4-H to ballgames, they keep my husband and I busy.”
“I enjoy being challenged, I have really enjoyed my time on site as a whole. I enjoy the history of the plant, and watching the continued history being made in our community. The last few years have been fulfilling and challenging being a part of the On Site Waste Disposal Facility (OSWDF) development and being a part of the team here, which I admire. I have worked with some really smart and talented people in the eight years I have been here. Working in OSWDF Fleet Management, has day-to-day challenges as we support a very large project that is ever changing. I love problem solving and finding solutions to daily challenges.”
