About

Jackson native Ellen Stone is a System Engineering manager for Fluor-BWXT. The Ohio University graduate has a degree in civil engineering and is a licensed professional engineer with nearly two decades of experience.

Ellen is well known on the site not only for her expertise, but also for her willingness to take part in volunteer programs including Science Alliance, STEAM Ahead, Christmas Gifts for Children, and engineering presentations at local schools.

But her participation doesn’t stop at work.

“With three daughters that are involved in various sports and activities, my husband and I are always busy,” said Stone.

Stone teaches a preschool Sunday school class at her church, volunteers with a Girl Scout troop, and helps coach her daughter’s volleyball team.

About Us

Fluor-BWXT was formed to specifically address the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Gaseous Diffusion Plant (GDP) Decontamination and Decommissioning (D&D) Project.

The team brings strong Ohio roots through 70 years of combined project management experience, and 125 years of manufacturing operations both in and outside of the nuclear field.

Combined, our companies have employed thousands of Ohioans across the state and have generated millions of dollars in revenues for Ohio companies and small businesses.
