About

Adam Reeder is a Waste Management Specialist II, Asset Recovery & Recycling Specialist, and PORTS Railroad Facility Manager for Fluor-BWXT. He has worked at the Portsmouth site for 4 years and resides in Wheelersburg, Ohio.

“My time in the community is mainly spent at my children’s events, and I wouldn’t have it any other way”, Adam said.  “I do love to cheer on ‘The Burg’ any chance I get at all sporting events. I enjoy coaching youth soccer as well. The rest of my time is spent with my military brothers and sisters in the Ohio Army National Guard with the 1191st Engineer Company in Portsmouth, Ohio.”

“An interesting fact about myself is that I am a singer/songwriter, I play guitar, and I am a Nashville recording artist. I am a Marine Corps veteran and current member of the Ohio Army National Guard. I have an MBA from Ohio Christian University.”

What does he enjoy about his job at PORTS?

“I enjoy working in a place with so much history. I’ve had many family and friends that have worked here in the past and I feel like I am carrying on the legacy of those past workers. I like finding solutions to the challenges that come up every day. I also enjoy supporting the Southern Ohio Diversification Initiative (SODI), our designated community reuse organization, and their mission to support local workers and communities in our four-county region. I really enjoy being affiliated with the site railroad. I have years of past rail operations experience, and FBP has motivated me to further expand my knowledge of railroad track safety inspections and principles of track maintenance. I am happy to be involved daily with ongoing rail operations. Last, I would be remiss if I did not mention the great group of people I work with. They make it a joy and a pleasure to show up every day and see their smiling faces. The FBP employee community is really like a big family.”
