Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth (FBP) would like to announce the creation of the 2023 FBP Diversity Council Scholarship and that applications are now available. The scholarship is open to all 2023 graduating seniors attending high school in Jackson, Pike, Ross, and Scioto counties.
The Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth (FBP), Diversity Council was started in 2017 and is designed to connect a diverse workforce to the business practices and the management at the Portsmouth Gaseous Division Plant and to promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) on site and in the community. In an effort to promote a more diverse workforce, the FBP Diversity Council has created a scholarship for students in the local area who will be receiving further education at a trade school, technical college, community college, or university.
Applicants need to be accepted to a trade school, community college, or accredited college or university. The scholarships, each valued at $2,000, will be awarded once to two area students.
