Fluor-BWXT Awards $32,000 Grant to Chillicothe Business

PIKE COUNTY, Ohio -- March 10, 2020 -- Fluor-BWXT’s (FBP) Community Commitment Fund is proud to support small businesses in Pike, Scioto, Ross, and Jackson counties.

Recently, FBP awarded a $32,000 grant through the Community Commitment Fund to Riffle Machine Works of Chillicothe for an expansion of the company’s assembly production area.

“Riffle Machine Works has become a successful logistics and supply chain management company because of the ability to produce high-quality products while keeping pace with the production schedules of their clients,” said Tim Poe of FBP. “We are pleased to support this company’s expansion which will benefit Chillicothe, Ross County and all of southern Ohio.”

The family-owned company has more than 220 employees and is a major parts supplier for Kenworth.

As part of FBP’s Community Commitment, significant economic investments are being made in the region through FBP’s partnership with the Joint Economic Diversification Initiative of Southern Ohio (JEDISO).  The goal is to create and retain jobs for a sustainable and strong economy in Jackson, Pike, Ross and Scioto counties.
