Fluor-BWXT Donates to Ross County NAACP Scholarship

PIKE COUNTY, Ohio -- February 27, 2020 -- Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth (FBP) is proud to help support the educational efforts of the Ross County NAACP. Recently, FBP donated $500 to the Robert J. Robinson, Sr. Scholarship program through the company’s Community Commitment Fund.

“FBP is investing to create opportunities in our region,” said Bob Smith, FBP Site Project Director. “By supporting local organizations such as the Ross County NAACP, we are able to help improve the lives of those in our community.”

 “Each donation we receive from a business or individual helps a student increase their chances of furthering their education and puts them on the path to become productive successful people who can make positive contributions to our community,” said Adrienne L. D’Souza, president, Ross County NAACP.

The scholarship was named in honor of Robert J. Robinson, Sr. following his death in 2013. Robinson served as the chapter’s president for 19 years. Last year, four scholarships were awarded to Chillicothe High School graduating seniors.
