PIKE COUNTY, Ohio – January 26, 2017 – Attached is the latest update of our quarterly dashboard which summarizes some of the community outreach efforts of Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth, the US Dept. of Energy and the other companies at the DOE Portsmouth Site in Piketon. As you know, we maintain a Community Commitment Plan to support our surrounding communities. Since our last update in October, Fluor-BWXT and our employees have helped the community through Christmas giving programs that reached nearly 4,000 children! This effort includes hundreds of volunteer hours, donations from many generous employees and $15,000 gift from the Fluor Foundation. In addition this new dashboard includes $5.3M in regional spending and $150K in business opportunity grants through our Community Commitment Plan.
Coming up on Feb. 2 there is a Red Cross Blood Drive and March 10 is DOE Science Bowl V at Shawnee State University.
