FLUOR-BWXT Community Commitment Dashboard (January 2018)

PIKE COUNTY, Ohio – January 19, 2017 – Attached is an excellent summary of how DOE PORTS Site employees and subcontractors give back to our community.  This PORTS Community Commitment DASHBOARD (January 2018) captures company and employee giving and outreach programs for the last four months of 2017.

One of the biggest outreach efforts at the site each year is the Christmas Gifts for Children Program. This incredible volunteer effort has been in place for 25 years and is led by FBP Systems Engineer Gary Crandall.   Behind Gary are typically 40-plus volunteer coordinators who put in countless hours to make sure that each child gets the right gift, right in time for Christmas.  Just since 2011, generous volunteers have purchased or donated money to provide gifts for more than 18,000 kids in six counties in southern Ohio.  Their reach is impressive – their impact immeasurable.

Since the beginning of the DOE Deactivation and Decommissioning (D&D) contract in 2011 Fluor-BWXT and ch2m have reinvested $4.1M in performance fee back into the community.

On behalf of our team and partner companies Fluor, BWXT and ch2M I’m glad to share this update of our educational and community giving programs.  Here’s to a safe and successful 2018!
