Carla Salisbury is a Deactivation Manager with Fluor-BWXT. The 16 year veteran of the PORTS site started her career as a guard in the Protective Force and was  Chief of Protective Forces before transferring to Deactivation seven years ago.

Carla and her partner Misty have two children, Tiffany and Reece and live on a large farm in the Eastern School District where they also raise cattle.

In addition to their farm, Carla is very involved in the community. She’s been a Union Township Trustee for eight year, a deputy with the Pike County Sheriff’s Office for 20 years, and is also a member of the Pike County Fair Board.

 

 

What does she enjoy most about her job?

“I love challenging tasks and Deactivation has had numerous challenges.  Working with employees to overcome those challenges and meet goals safely has been the most rewarding part of this job.”
