To safely decontaminate and decommission the Portsmouth Site while partnering with the community to create a sustainable economic future for the region.

Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth LLC is the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) contractor for the decontamination and decommissioning of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon, Ohio. The Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth team combines disciplined project management of Fluor with the rigorous nuclear operations of BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT). Our team is further strengthened by our partnerships with local small businesses Pro2Serve, Wastren and InSolves by providing us with incumbent knowledge and a connection to the workforce and surrounding community. We appreciate the importance of understanding the past while planning for the future.

Our team of quality individuals is dedicated to the restoration of the Portsmouth site.  We work cooperatively with DOE, employees, labor groups, subcontractors, regulators, the Site Specific Advisory Board, community leaders, stakeholders and the public to ensure that the project is completed  safely, on time and within budget.

Safety and regulatory compliance are of the utmost importance to Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth. We have implemented a rigorous set of processes, procedures and workplace guidelines to protect our employees, our neighbors and the environment.
